Nunung Nurul Qomariyah, S.Kom, M.T.I., Ph.D, is an Assistant Professor at BINUS University International in Jakarta, Indonesia. With a rich background in Artificial Intelligence, Nurul is a distinguished alumna of the University of York, UK, where she was part of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group and achieved her Ph.D. Her doctoral work delved into preference learning using Description Logic (DL), laying the groundwork for her future endeavors.
Recently, she spearheads groundbreaking research in Explainable AI within the medical domain, a co-funded project by the Newton British Council and the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Education. This collaboration involves the University of York, Binus University, and Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital, Jakarta, leading to numerous Scopus indexed publications, first place winner in the Mendix competition, and listed as Top 20 in the Open Innovation startup competition by IMERI University of Indonesia. Her research, celebrated for its innovation, has fostered extensive collaboration, benefiting health services in both Indonesia and the UK.
